OPAN – Aged Care Advocacy Services – Talk to Us First

NEW PROGRAM “TALK TO US FIRST “

Altura Learning is proud to release the program “Talk to Us First” on behalf of the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN).

Aged Care consumers have rights and you can make a difference. The aim of this training program is to :

  • support Aged Care Workers and Service Providers in meeting the Quality Standards.
  • increase understanding of advocates’ role in supporting residents and consumers to raise and rectify their concerns early.
  • increase awareness of how to access advocacy services through OPAN.

The Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care, the Honorable Ken Wyatt AM MP,  launched the training along with the OPAN National Elder Abuse Prevention and Advocacy Framework in Perth on 15th November.

ABOUT OPAN

OPAN is a national network comprised of nine state and territory organisations that have been successfully delivering advocacy, information and education services to older people in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote Australia for over 25 years. OPAN services support the building of better relationships between aged care providers and their residents or clients.
