Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
Course Description
The strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards will be introduced alongside the new Aged Care Act, with the aim of ensuring that older people receive safe, quality care and services. This course will provide an introduction to the seven Quality Standards and outline how staff can apply these to their role.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
* Identify the seven strengthened Quality Standards – 15%
* Describe the focus of each strengthened Quality Standard – 20%
* Recognise how the strengthened Quality Standards can be
applied to their role – 30%
* Describe what the older person will expect under the strengthened
Quality Standards – 20%
* Explain how the strengthened Quality Standards will be
regulated – 15%
