Epilepsy: Understanding the Condition

Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological condition and can affect a person of any age. The signs and symptoms of the disorder vary depending on the area of the brain affected, and the severity can differ from individual to individual. For some, it is managed well and the person can carry on with their normal life, but for others, it can have a debilitating effect, impacting many aspects of their life.

Epilepsy: Understanding the Condition is a developing course on the Altura Learning Pathway so it is appropriate for care workers and nurses.

In this course we explore the disorder and the types of seizures a person might experience as well how to manage a seizure and support a person who is living with the disorder.
